Launceston Terrace House

The renovation of this terrace house included complete restoration of the original facade and roof.

This historic brick house in central Launceston had been left in disrepair for many years. With much of the original timber structure unsalvageable, the decision was made to strip the house back to the core brick shell and completely remake all lightweight components. Cast iron elements from the original home have been restored and reincorporated into the recreation. A newly remade roof structure completes the refurbishment.

Lightness in contrast to the dark brickwork is achieved with a new colour palette of whites and greys, with the front door newly repainted in yellow to provide a vibrant highlight.
